Located in Lafayette, LA, River Market Place consists of a Super Target, Ross, Sears, Total Wine, Raising Cane’s Smoothie King, Chili’s and more. Carolina Capital (CC) partnered with a retail development and asset management firm as a Co-GP to purchase River Market Place in October of 2021.
CC’s investment objective was to acquire a retail center with significant leasing and management upside. CC believes the asset strongly benefits from heavy traffic at the intersection and from high population density in the area. The retail center houses the top performing Target, Ross, McAlister’s Buffalo Wild Wings & Cato in Louisiana.
CC plans to assess all viable options to best reposition the asset throughout the hold.
